Cameo Submission Guidelines

There's been some interest recently in cameos/fan-submitted characters.

Unfortunately I'm not taking fan character submissions at this point. The major parts in this comic are all filled, as are most of the side parts. Sorry =/

However, cameos are open, for anyone who's interested ^^

Rules

1. You need to be flexible about how/when your character will appear in the comic. Most cameo appearances will just be in the background or part of a crowd--"extras," if you will. A cameo character MIGHT get a bit speaking part, but that's at my discretion.
2. Super-complicated designs might need to be simplified.
3. No Fakemon. I don't have a problem with them, in fact I love them, but they just don't exist in the story.
4. No "hybrids." This comic follows the games with regards to cross-breeds; interspecies couples do exist, but the children are always the first evolutionary stage of the female, with egg moves being inherited from the father.
5. Extreme color variations will probably get rejected, for the same reason as Fakemon and hybrids--especially Pokemon with a combination of black, red, and purple, as this combination has significance in the story and I don't want it to be showing up all over the place. Shinies are fine, since there are/will be two in the original cast, but don't go overboard.
6. No legendaries. This one is firm. Sorry.
7. Reference pictures = <3, but a reasonably detailed description works too.
8. Limit 5 characters per person, so I don't go completely insane. xD
9. THE CHARACTER MUST BE YOUR OWN. Submitting someone else's character, especially one from someone else's comic, is definitely not okay. (Not that this should need pointing out, but I wanted to cover all of the bases...)

Cameos will get a special mention in the author's notes here on the SJ site, as well as in the author comments on dA. If your character(s) come from your own Pok'emon comic, let me know so I can spread the word (and read it for myself, of course... me being a Pok'emon comic junkie).
